Building Enhancements Campaign
Over the past 12 months our alumni, friends, and corporate partners have generously contributed over $300,000 to our building enhancement campaign. This support has enabled us to maintain the size of our footprint by transforming already existing space into a state-of-the-art seminar room, six professional recruiting rooms, and an adjoining administrative suite- named the Walt Franke Suite. To all the generous supporters we say, thank you.
Raising an additional $200,000 is our goal to complete enhancements to our building (such as create a new home for our emeritus faculty who were in the library's Green Room) and to finalize the creation of all digital library in partnership with the campus library system.
Many have become involved in supporting the efforts of an appropriate recruiting space and seminar space – Tour the Space at left for our lead supporters and pictures of the project.
However, those who attended LER during the tenure of a very special leader -- Walt Franke – are driving the naming of the administrative space in his honor. During Walt's time as a member of the faculty- and later as a Director- the School (known as the Institute at the time) went through many changes. A building was built. Student enrollment increased. Corporate recruiters came in greater abundance. And the field of Human Resources gained a seat at the proverbial table. From 1957-1994 Walt shared his knowledge in the classroom, led as Director, and collaborated with countless people in order to strengthen our program.
We need continued support to reach our goal and invite all our alumni to participate in completing the financial portion of this project. All gifts will be recognized within the new space in respect to your participation in these enduring improvements to the LER experience.
View the new space and help us monitor our progress towards the goal in the coming months. $300,000 has already been given and beginning in February 2009, we are setting our sites on the remaining $200,000 to complete entire project.
