Assessor/Facilitator Training and Certification Program
MDP development facilitators have graduate training in Human Resource Management and/or Industrial Organizational Psychology. Additionally, all facilitators are required to complete a four-week training program, where trainees become experts in observing, recording, and feeding back behavior relevant to the program competencies. They also become experts regarding the competencies themselves and how best to develop each competency.
Development facilitators become certified by completing the following requirements:
- going through the MDP as a participant
- attending all training sessions
- successfully passing all certification exams
- shadowing tenured facilitators
- passing an observational test assuring competence in the MDP process
