EXCEL COURSE THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY

The University has contracted with an outside company to provide a variety of training aids on-line that can be used for FREE by University students, faculty and staff.

This company offers three courses in EXCEL that you can take at your leisure on-line.  I have gone through the content of these courses.  The outline of these courses is contained at this link.  The material that I have marked with an asterisk (*) is (in my opinion) less important for HR graduates.  The other material is important both for this course and for your future as an HR professional.

Signing up is free.  You only need answer a few questions.  To see the courses and possibly sign-up, first go to the site http://www.netglearning.com.

Next, sign up as a new user by pushing the "Getting Started" button on the left-hand part of the screen.  Your enrollment key number is 604N4-04E17-000T5-01365 and you are a student at the University of Illinois.

After you sign up, you will receive an email that gives you your company name (uillinois) and your user name and password (you have entered these).

Sign in as a first time user.  Choose to modify your training plan.  Then search for Excel.  You want the three courses marked as Excel 2002.  Choose these for your training plan.
