Sample MBA Resumes
These resumes are examples made up by Professor Joseph Cooper, Amos Tuck School of Management, Dartmouth College and Professor Michael Gibbs, USC Business School
Instructions:
These are fictional resumes that are composites of resumes from students at a major business school. Any resemblance to actual individuals is purely coincidental. All resume data are fictional. This material is for the purposes of classroom discussion only. You should look over each resume and take notes. Be prepared to discuss the persons in terms of the type of job that would best fit them. Suppose that you are representing a company that will pay $60,000 for an MBA, will you compete for this person? How about $80,000? $100,000? $130,000? Will this person be suited well for a position that supervises other employees? Will this person be suited well for a position that requires significant innovative ideas and creativity? Will this person work well in a team environment? Will this person work well in an environment that is primarily research orientated? If we are looking for a person who will be on the fast track to the CEO position, is this the person?
