Multicultural Student Association
Who We Are
MSA is the multicultural organization for the School of Labor and Employment Relations. The group was founded in 1993 as a mechanism to recruit, retain, and support qualified students from underrepresented groups. MSA serves as a support network for students as they embark upon their 18-month stay in the School. Whether you need advice on classes or some classmates to hang out with on the weekend, MSA members do there best to make sure that students feel comfortable during the program.
What do we do?
MSA continues to make changes to ensure that the group promotes unity and support to all of its members. Some past activities include:
- Annual Multicultural Fest with SSHRM, Labor Studies Club, and LIRA
- Soul Food Sundays
- Seminars focused on HR related topics
- Community Service
- Fundraisers
In addition to the fun that we are currently having, some future plans include:
- Mentoring incoming students
- Correspondence with NAAAHR
- Social events with other graduate minority organizations on campus
- More fundraisers
How To Get Involved:
