On choosing LER

"I originally came to the School as a student because I was offered a labor fellowship. Later classes and research opportunities confirmed my original choice. My choice to remain here as a faculty member was influenced by LER’s status as a top research institution, coupled with the opportunity to teach labor union members. There aren’t very many competing facilities which offer the opportunity to both be a labor educator and do top-flight research."

Research Interests

  • Distance learning technology as applied to labor education
  • Goal orientation as a predictor of labor education outcomes
  • Coalition building among labor, community and religious groups, and government bodies
