Bielski Boris’ research focuses broadly on the study of unions as organizations and as part of the larger labor movement. She has written on how unions have addressed issues of diversity and on unions working with other social movements. As a member of the Building Regional Power Research Group, affiliated with the AFL-CIO’s Office of State and Local Affiliates, she conducts research on state federations and central labor councils. She is a member of the United Association for Labor Education and Labor and Employment Relations Association (LIRA).
